World-wise Facilitator Training

We offer half-day and full-day training workshops in the use of our resources. Facilitators should be interested in global development issues but they do not need to be experts in the field. Often the best way to learn about a subject is to teach it. We will tailor the workshop to suit your needs and experience.

World-wise facilitator training workshops are available for:

  • Community and developmental education professionals who would like to add a World-wise group to their day or evening-class options.
  • Individuals with an interest in global issues or members of existing community groups who would like to start a World-wise group in their local community or add a global dimension to their programme.

Resources

Course materials are provided on CD for participants and facilitators. Taking Action Packs contain literature from a variety of local and global campaigning organisations such as Amnesty Scotland, The Trade Justice Movement and Friends of The Earth. These provide a taster of current campaigns. Material from local campaigns can also be included.
