Guardian Unlimited
The online version of the Guardian newspaper. Use the search facility to look for archived articles. Also see the World News Guide for directories of links to international news websites.
Jubilee Scotland
'Jubilee Scotland campaigns for the cancellation of unpayable debts that are ruining the world's poorest countries.' Like the Trade Justice Movement it is a coalition, and includes international development organisations, trade unions and churches. User-friendly website with news, ideas for campaigning, including downloadable campaign pack, lots of links and briefings.
Kenny Richey
Information to aid the campaign for justice and a fair trial for Kenny Richey, the Scot who awaits execution in Ohio.
Make Poverty History
Information about the 2005 anti-poverty movement, and resources for continuing the campaign.
Mines and Communities Website
'we are committed exclusively to meeting the needs, and answering the appeals, of mining-affected communities, including workers organisations'. Up-to-date and very informative site about moves to reform the mining industry all over the world - environmental and human rights issues in particular. Includes many links to campaigning groups. You can also post an appeal for support for your own campaign.
New Internationalist
The website for New Internationalist magazine, which covers the full range of global issues, including the environment, trade, and development. Teaching Global Issues features useful links for both teaching and learning about global issues. Action provides ideas, information and links for campaigners, and the Countries section offers nation-by-nation profiles.
Our World Our Say

Scottish Parliament
Find lots of information on MSPs' activities at the Scottish Parliament site. You can file a petition online, or follow debates and committees live.
Scottish Refugee Council
In addition to providing advice and assistance to asylum seekers, the Scottish Refugee Council is a campaigning group countering negative media coverage of asylum issues. Contact the Council for a Guide to Campaigning providing advice on writing to newspapers, responding to TV and radio programmes, and lobbying MPs/MSPs.
Trade Justice Movement
'The Trade Justice Movement campaigns for fundamental change to the unjust rules and institutions governing international trade, so that trade is made to work for all.' An umbrella organisation with 50 member organisations, including trade unions, aid agencies, environment and human rights campaigns, and WDM. Site resources include ideas for campaign action, links to member organisations, and lots of briefings including a handy Jargon Buster providing a glossary of trade justice terms.
