Welcome to World-wise

The World Development Movement Scotland’s active global citizenship education project for adults in Scotland

What does it mean to be a global citizen living in our vast complicated world? Globalisation is changing the way the world works... and fast. We're not only citizens of Scotland but of the world. How can we take our global responsibilities seriously?

Trade justice, global warming, and human rights: all huge issues affecting our lives and planet. But just how can people here in Scotland influence those with the power to bring justice to the world today?

The World-wise project is here to help people in Scotland come to grips with their role as active global citizens and to equip them with the skills and confidence they need to make their voices heard. Supportive group learning sessions using people-centred, jargon-free materials are the basis of the World-wise experience.
