Put your questions about environmental debt, green jobs, bankers' bonuses and tax havens - or anything else you think the G20 leaders will be/ ought to be discussing at their finance ministers' meeting in St. Andrews in November - to the local MP and secretary of state for international development.

Alistair Darling has suggested that he cannot leave his office to talk to constituents about the economy in 2009. If you feel strongly about this, please attend this meeting. Speakers in his place include Mike Kirby, Convenor of UNISON Scotland. A delegation from the event will present the concerns raised with Mr Darling at a later surgery meeting.

A cup of tea with an MEP (and WDM Glasgow)
The event in Glasgow promises no boring speeches, no hectoring arguments and no David Dimbleby. Instead it will be a café-style, informal event with the chance to ask important questions about trade justice and international development of the people who are standing for election to the European Parliament. No need to book, just turn up on the night.

Trade Justice Hustings
As part of the Edinburgh World Justice Festival, WDM Edinburgh will be holding a hustings to quiz MEP candidates on trade, international development and climate change ahead of the European elections on June 4th. WDM director Benedict Southworth will be chairing the meeting. Labour, LibDem, Conservative, Green and UKIP candidates have all agreed to take part. Please do come along and bring your tricky questions. No need to book.

Building Justice out of Crisis
This year’s Edinburgh World Justice festival continues the legacy of the Make Poverty History and G8 alternative campaigns and picks up on the theme of building justice out of crisis. Douglas Alexander, Secretary of State for International Development will open the festival at this event at lunchtime on May 22nd, organised in conjunction with UNISON and the World Development Movement. Come along and hear him, as well as WDM director Benedict Southworth and Edinburgh University Rector and journalist Iain MacWhirter putting forward their suggestions for a new model of world development. This event is free and unticketed, just turn up.
