About WDM

"Whenever I hear politicians defending policies that are actually increasing injustice and suffering, I know that WDM will be on their case, confronting them and winning the arguments." Anita Roddick, OBE

About WDM Scotland

WDM Scotland is the Scottish wing of the World Development Movement (WDM). WDM tackles the underlying causes of poverty. We lobby decision makers to change the policies that keep people poor. We research and promote positive alternatives. We work alongside people in the developing world who are standing up to injustice.

This website gives details of activities happening in Scotland and should be seen as complementary to the main WDM website which contains the core information on WDM and our campaigns.

The WDM Scotland office was set up in November 1998 in order to support campaign activity in Scotland, and to adapt WDM campaigns for use in the Scottish context - please see Campaigns for details of our past and present projects.

There are lots of ways to get involved now - see Action for details.
